The Story

Three Decades on One Craft.

Myke Toledo started in paintless dent repair in 1991, trained by his stepfather at the family business, Dent Man. He learned the trade as a follower long before he led, on real cars, completely mobile, back when a PDR shop was not yet even a thing.

In 2001 it was time to lead. Myke founded Dent Time with his wife, Mary. For years the work stayed mobile and on the road, including remote training and PDR out of a detail company in downtown San Diego through 2010. In 2017 he opened the first Dent Time shop in Escondido. He still teaches, and the hands-on PDR training he runs is the same standard the shop works to.

Dent Time has always covered all of San Diego County and North County, and the mobile service is never charged extra. Escondido is home, the place to come for a brick-and-mortar visit or for the more complex repairs on high-end vehicles. The focus has never changed. Build systems so every customer has an honest, easy experience, and treat the work like it matters, because it does.

  10. 2024

Mary takes PDR Person of the Year

The same peer vote at Mobile Tech Expo, twelve years after Myke. Mary does not repair panels, which makes hers the harder one to earn.

The Standard

How the Work Is Different.

We do not drill as a default

Drilling a hole behind a plug is the shortcut. It is faster for the technician and permanent for your car. Our default is removal and installation through factory openings, so the panel goes back the way the manufacturer built it.

The factory finish stays factory

No filler. No repaint. Nothing on the Carfax. The original paint is the entire point of paintless dent repair, and it is what protects your resale and lease return.

You see the price first

We give an honest preliminary range from your photos, then the firm number once the panel is seen in person and we know what is behind it. No bait, no surprise upsell. And the result carries a complete satisfaction guarantee or no charge applied.

Mobile to you, or in-shop in Escondido

Most repairs can come to your home or office across San Diego County. The ones that need controlled lighting or heavy access route to our Escondido shop, and we tell you which path gives the best result before you book. See mobile dent repair or how pricing works.

Let's Fix It Right.

Text a photo for a real price in minutes, from the most experienced paintless dent repair in San Diego County. Factory finish kept, nothing on the Carfax.

Answered

Common Questions.

How long has Dent Time been in business?

Dent Time was founded in 2001 by Myke Toledo and his wife Mary. Myke has been repairing dents since 1991, which he learned at the family business before paintless dent repair had a name in most of the country.

Who owns Dent Time?

Myke and Mary Toledo, who founded it together in 2001 and still run it. Myke reads every estimate that comes through personally and still works panels most days. Mary runs scheduling, operations and the shop.

Where is Dent Time located?

The shop is at 2120 W. Mission Rd. Suite 240 in Escondido, California. Our technicians live across San Diego County and work mobile from where they are, so nobody is dispatched across the county to reach you. The shop is a hub base for insurance claims, larger damage, and customers who would rather walk into a facility.

Has Dent Time won any awards?

PDR Person of the Year twice, which is a peer vote cast at Mobile Tech Expo in Orlando, the largest paintless dent repair convention in the world. Myke won it in 2012 and Mary in 2024. Myke also holds a Lifetime Achievement Award from 2021.

Does Myke still repair cars himself?

Yes. He reads every estimate that comes through the shop and still works panels most days. The reason a repair here is quoted honestly is that the person quoting it is the person who has to make it come out right.

Does Dent Time train other technicians?

Yes, worldwide since the 1990s, and two of the technicians working here were trained by Myke personally. Training runs as two and four week hands-on courses with two students maximum.
