Plain version: we collect what we need to quote and fix your car, and we will not put a photo of your vehicle anywhere public without asking you first. Calls are recorded, an AI assistant may answer your call, text or chat, and this website uses Google ads and analytics only if you tap Accept on our cookie bar. The full detail, and how to change your choice, is below.
Dent Time LLC operates this website and provides paintless dent repair, bumper repair, scratch repair, and PDR training from 2120 W. Mission Rd. #240, Escondido, CA 92029, and by mobile service across San Diego County and south Orange County.
You can reach us at 858-408-6200, at 800-420-3368, or by email at denttime@gmail.com. Calls and texts to 858-408-6200 are answered first by our AI assistants, who pass your message to the team. If you have a question about your information specifically, email is the fastest way to reach a person about it.
We collect what we need to quote, schedule and complete a repair, plus some information about how this website is used.
For running the business you contacted us about, and for understanding which parts of our website and advertising bring in customers.
Photos are how this business works, so it is worth being specific about them.
We use the photos you send to assess the damage, produce a preliminary estimate, and plan the repair. They are stored on our own systems and with the service providers listed below, and the AI tools that help us reply may read them so the assistant can see what you are describing. We do not sell them and we do not hand them to advertisers.
We will not use a photo of your vehicle publicly without asking you first. If a repair turns out to be a good example of the work and we would like to show it, we ask. You are free to say no, and saying no does not change anything about your repair or your price.
One practical note: photos taken on a phone can carry location data in the file. If that concerns you, most phones let you strip location from a photo before sending, or you can turn location off for the camera app.
When you call 858-408-6200, the call is answered first by Gabby, Dent Time's digital assistant, which is an AI. The greeting tells you that the call may be monitored or recorded. The Talk to Gabby voice button on this website works the same way.
Calls are recorded and transcribed. Gabby's voice service processes what is said, using an AI model, so she can answer you. We keep the recording, the transcript, and a short summary with your conversation, so Myke can review it and nobody has to ask you the same questions twice. Myke and the team may listen to recordings and read transcripts.
If you would rather not be recorded, you can hang up at any time and email denttime@gmail.com or use the estimate form on this website instead.
Calls that start from our Google ads. When you tap to call from one of our Google ads, the call goes through a forwarding number provided by Google so the ad can be credited with the call. Google receives details of the call, such as when it started, how long it lasted and your area code, and Google may record a sample of these calls to check the quality of its call reporting. Google handles that information under its own privacy policy, at policies.google.com/privacy.
Texts from Dent Time are often written by Julie, our AI assistant, and the Ask Dent Time chat window on this website is answered by an AI assistant. Myke and the team can read every conversation and step in at any time.
To write a reply, the assistant sends your message, the conversation so far, and any photo you sent to our AI provider. Anything an assistant says about price is a preliminary range, and the price is confirmed in person before any work starts.
Please do not send card numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords or other sensitive details by text or chat.
We text customers, because for a photo estimate it is the fastest thing for everyone. Messaging is covered in full in our messaging compliance policy, and the essentials are these.
This website runs a small script of our own that records how the site is used: the pages you view, how far you scroll, the buttons and links you tap, the page or ad that brought you here, your device type and browser, and an approximate area (such as state, city, ZIP area and internet provider) worked out from your connection. These records keep the approximate area, not your IP address. The script does not record what you type into fields, and it does not record your screen.
Each visit gets a random visitor key that lasts for that browser tab. If you fill out a form, ask for a call back, or send us a text from the website, that visit record is linked to your inquiry, so we can see which pages you looked at and how you found us.
These records are our own and stay with Dent Time. They run whether or not you accept cookies on the cookie bar, they do not use cookies (the visitor key is kept in the browser tab and is gone when you close it), and we do not share them with advertisers.
Like any website, the servers that deliver this site also log technical details such as IP address and browser type, to deliver pages and keep the site secure. Cloudflare, which hosts the site, also counts visits with its own web analytics.
This website asks before it loads any Google advertising or analytics tool. A bar at the bottom of the page offers Accept and No thanks. Until you tap Accept, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and the Google Ads tag do not load and set no cookies. If you tap No thanks, or your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, they do not load at all.
We remember your answer in your browser for 12 months, in a small first-party entry named dt_consent, so the bar does not ask on every page. To change it, tap Cookie choices at the bottom of any page. If you change to No thanks, Google's tools stop loading from that moment and we remove the Google Analytics and Google Ads cookies this website had set. Cookies that Google set on its own websites stay until they expire or you delete them in your browser.
If you tap Accept, this website uses Google Tag Manager to load Google Analytics and Google Ads. These Google tools set cookies and collect information such as the pages you visit, your device and browser, your IP address, and an identifier for your browser.
Google uses this information under its own privacy policy, and explains how it uses information from websites like ours at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Some pages also show content from other services: YouTube videos, Google Maps, a reviews slider from The Reviews Place, and our online store, which runs on Ecwid (Ecwid loads its own tools, including Stripe for payments and a Meta pixel for Facebook ads). Until you tap Accept, each of these shows a placeholder and loads only if you tap it. Once loaded, those services can set their own cookies and see that you loaded their content, the same as if you had visited them directly. To limit any of this, see Your Privacy Choices.
When you arrive by clicking one of our Google ads, the web address carries a click ID from Google (called gclid, gbraid or wbraid) and sometimes campaign tags (utm tags). We save these in a first-party cookie on this website, named dt_click, for up to 90 days. If you then contact us through the website, the click ID and campaign tags are attached to your inquiry. This cookie is our own, not Google's. If you tap No thanks on the cookie bar, we erase the click ID and do not save one again, and your inquiry is sent without it.
If your inquiry turns into a booked job, we may send Google Ads that click ID together with the booking time and the estimate value, so we can see which ads lead to real work. We send the click ID, not your name, phone number, messages or photos.
If you tap No thanks, or your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we do not save the click ID and we do not send ad click information from your inquiry to Google.
Dent Time does not sell your personal information for money, and does not give your phone number, photos or messages to other businesses for their own marketing.
We use service providers that process information for us so we can run the business. They handle your information to provide their service to us. They include service providers such as:
We also share information with your insurance carrier when you ask us to handle a claim, and with a body shop or paint specialist when a repair is outside what we do and you have asked us to refer you. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
You can limit how your information is used for advertising and analytics, and stop messages, at any time.
Some browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. There is still no common standard for how a website should answer one, so this website does not change what it does when it receives one. We do honor the Global Privacy Control signal, as described in Your Privacy Choices.
We keep repair records, estimates, invoices, photos, messages, call recordings and transcripts, and visit records for as long as we need them to serve you and for our business records, such as later questions about a repair, insurance, tax and accounting. In practice that can mean several years. We do not run a schedule that deletes these automatically on a set date.
The dt_click cookie expires on its own after 90 days. Your cookie choice (dt_consent) is kept for 12 months, then the cookie bar asks again. Cookies set by Google follow Google's own settings.
If you ask us to delete your information, we will, except where the law requires or allows us to keep it, for example for tax records. Copies held in backups and by our service providers can take longer to clear.
You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
One honest note about California law. The California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, formally applies to businesses above certain thresholds, such as large annual revenue or handling the personal information of a hundred thousand or more consumers. Dent Time is a local repair shop and does not meet them. We give you these rights anyway, because they are the right way to handle someone's information regardless of whether a statute compels it:
To use any of these rights, email denttime@gmail.com and say what you want, or write to Dent Time LLC, 2120 W. Mission Rd. #240, Escondido, CA 92029. We may need to verify who you are before we act, which usually means confirming the phone number or email already on the job. We respond within 45 days.
We use reasonable safeguards for a business our size, such as password-protected staff tools, encrypted connections to this website, and established providers for hosting, messaging and payment.
We will not claim it is impossible to breach, because no business can honestly claim that. We also try not to collect information we do not need, which is one of the best protections there is.
Card payments are handled by our payment processor. Dent Time does not store your full card number. When you pay us by card, the card details go to the processor, not into our records.
This is a vehicle repair business and the site is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will remove it.
If we change how we handle information, we update this page and change the effective date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
A real person reads every email. Email denttime@gmail.com, or write to Dent Time LLC, 2120 W. Mission Rd. #240, Escondido, CA 92029. You can also call or text 858-408-6200, where our AI assistant takes your message for the team.
Ask a person rather than guessing. Email denttime@gmail.com, where a person reads every message. Related: our messaging compliance policy and our terms of service.
