The Dent Time Team

Meet the Dent Time Team.

The people who fix your car, and the people who make sure it happens.

Most mobile operations will not tell you who is doing the work, or who is answering the phone. Paintless dent repair is a craft, the result depends entirely on the hands holding the rod, and you are entitled to know whose hands those are before you hand over the keys.

5.0 stars across 814 reviews at the Escondido shop. Every estimate is read by a technician, not a salesperson.

Myke Toledo

Master Paintless Dent Repair Technician

Repairing dents since 1991, trained by his stepfather at the family business before paintless dent repair had a name in most of the country.

Myke reads every estimate that comes through the shop personally. He founded Dent Time with Mary in 2001, has trained technicians on four continents since the 1990s, and still works panels himself most days. The reason a repair here is quoted honestly is that the person quoting it is the person who has to make it come out right.

  • PDR Person of the Year, 2012, a peer vote at Mobile Tech Expo
  • Lifetime Achievement Award, 2021
  • Trainer to PDR technicians worldwide since the 1990s
  • Trained both Big Jon and Tim himself
  • Aluminum and EV panel specialist

Mary Toledo

Co-Founder and Operations

PDR Person of the Year 2024. Co-founded Dent Time with Myke in 2001 and runs the company.

The backbone behind the scenes. Mary is the reason the schedule holds, the reason a job that needs to move gets moved, and the reason the shop has run for two decades instead of two years. Most of what customers experience as "they were easy to deal with" is Mary.

  • Co-founded Dent Time in 2001
  • Runs scheduling, operations and the shop

Big Jon

Paintless Dent Repair Technician

Trained by Myke personally and repairing dents here since 2008, which makes him the longest-serving technician after Myke.

Seventeen years of repairs and the kind of talent that does not need announcing. Jon takes the repairs other technicians walk away from, and the personality is bigger than the man, which is saying something. If your car is at the Escondido shop, there is a good chance Jon is the one working on it.

  • Paintless dent repair since 2008
  • Trained personally by Myke Toledo
  • Longest-serving technician at Dent Time after Myke
  • Complex crease and body-line work

Tim Fulton

Paintless Dent Repair Technician

Trained by Myke personally, repairing dents here since 2017, and a world-ranked professional skimboarder the rest of the time.

Runs repairs both at the Escondido shop and out on the road, which is most of what keeps a same-day turnaround possible across a county this size. Tim learned the craft here, from Myke, the same as Big Jon did. A technician trained in the building works to the standard of the building.

The other half of Tim is on the water. He is a professional skimboarder who has held a spot in the world top ten for fifteen straight years, with a couple of first-place world titles along the way. Nobody stays ranked that long on talent. It takes feel, and it takes doing one small movement correctly a few thousand times, which happens to be the entire job description of a paintless dent repair technician. Watch him ride at @timfults.

Homero Gonzalez

Bumper and Scratch Repair Technician

With Dent Time since late 2022, on the paint side of the business rather than the metal side.

Homero handles the scuffs, the curb rash and the refinish work, mobile at your location and at the Escondido shop. He is fun and easy going to deal with, rides motorcycles when he is not working, and speaks fluent Spanish. His family is originally from Mexico City, so if Spanish is easier for you, ask for Homero.

  • Bumper scuff, crack and refinish work
  • Panel and key scratch repair
  • Fluent in Spanish and English

The Right Way to Start

Answered

Common Questions.

Who will actually work on my car?

One of the named technicians on this page. Myke Toledo, Big Jon, Tim Fulton or Homero Gonzalez depending on the repair and where you are. Bumper and scratch work is the paint side of the business and goes to Homero. Myke reads every estimate personally before anyone is booked.

Are your technicians trained in-house?

Two of them were trained by Myke personally, Big Jon and Tim Fulton. That matters more than it sounds. Anyone can hire a technician. Training the two people who have stayed the longest is the claim a one-man mobile operation cannot make.

How long have your technicians been doing this?

Myke since 1991, Big Jon since 2008, Tim since 2017 and Homero since late 2022. Retention is the honest measure of a shop, and a business five years old cannot show that column.

What is PDR Person of the Year?

A peer vote cast at Mobile Tech Expo in Orlando, Florida, which runs every year and is the largest paintless dent repair convention in the world. It is not an internal title and it cannot be bought. Myke won it in 2012 and Mary in 2024.

Will the person who quotes my car be the one who repairs it?

Myke prices every job himself from your photos. The repair is carried out by whichever technician the job and your location call for, and we tell you which path your car needs before you commit to anything.
