I’m sure if you have had the opportunity to work on a later model vehicle with a matte finish, you might felt a little stumped. There’s no reflection.. Well a quick and easy solution is to use some clear scotch or packing tape. Works perfect for a temporary clear coat like effect. I suggest use a wide piece of clear tape like packing tape. You’ll cover more surface area while having too many too strips of tape.
You can also use this tip for matte motorcycle gas tanks, refrigerators, stainless steel fridges or any other surface with a dull finish.
